Khusein “Lion” Askhabov | 20-0 | 5’9 135 lbs. | Age 25 | Reach N/A | Orthodox Stance | Fighting Out of Grozny, Russia

Khusein “Lion” Askhabov (20-0) holds the third-longest active undefeated streak in MMA. The company he holds tells you about his skill level, only trailing UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (28-0) and Bellator star prospect Yaroslav Amosov (23-0).

Askhabov was born in Luxembourg but now represents the Chechen Republic as he calls Grozny, Russia his home base. Khusein has an older brother, Khasan (20-2), who is a double champ at 145 and 155 lbs in Moldovan promotion WWFC with both brothers starting their MMA careers in 2012. Although Khasan has one more strap than Khusein, WWFC’s bantamweight champion, the younger brother still has the unblemished record.

“Lion” predominantly fights out of Akhmat Fight Club in Grozny but now splits his time between the famed Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand and Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, CA. The world of MMA knowledge is surely paying off for Askhabov as 13 of his 20 wins have come by stoppage, nine in round one!

The WWFC bantamweight champion currently has no fight scheduled, much like the rest of the MMA world, but hopefully the UFC will soon be in negotiations with the 25-year-old.
