The blue corner is back today for our BE’s BADDEST Tournament Series to figure out what is the single Greatest MMA Fight Of All Time — that one to watch before the world ends. Today we have the #3 seed, Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson 1, going heads up with the #5 ranked, Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson 2.

In yesterday’s tournament matchup, the red corner saw two classic tilts go at it when #3 Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes 2 bumped heads with #5 Eddie Alvarez vs. Justin Gaethje. By a margin of 22-13, Aldo vs. Chad Mendes 2 will now move on to face #1 Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald 2 in the quarter finals.

Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson 1 was a Main Event UFC Light Heavyweight Championship Bout for UFC 165 back in September, 2013. A fight worthy of its induction into the UFC Hall of Fame, Jones and Gus waged war for five thrilling rounds and ended in a controversial decision that’s still debated to this day. Our Champion, Jones, was a huge favorite and our Challenger, Gustafsson, a massive underdog. They had an epic battle; Jones winning via Unanimous Decision with the judges scorecards coming in at 48/47, 48/47 and 49/46 . The results didn’t stop Gustafsson from being terribly proud of his performance and wanting an immediate rematch.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson 2 was for PRIDE’s middleweight title and went down at PRIDE 28: High Octane back on Halloween of 2004. What a crazy scrap this was! Both men were throwing heat. Both men were getting rocked. In the end, Silva was able to put together a combination that staggered Rampage, before a vicious knee sent a limp Jackson falling through the ropes.
