The UFC has been making up for lost time, as it has held four events in a 22-day span after returning from a layoff of nearly two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The promotion will be back at it again on Saturday, when UFC 250 takes place without fans in attendance at UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The main UFC 250 fight card is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. ET. Amanda Nunes headlines the 12-fight UFC 250 card as she defends her featherweight title for the first time against Felicia Spencer.

UFC 250 comes just a week after a UFC Fight Night that saw Gilbert Burns upset Tyron Woodley for his sixth consecutive victory. Nunes is a -575 favorite (risk $575 to win $100), while Spencer is a +425 underdog in the latest UFC 250 odds from William Hill. In the co-main event, Cody Garbrandt (-150) squares off against Raphael Assuncao (+125) in a bantamweight fight. Before making your UFC 250 picks, make sure you see what SportsLine MMA analyst Brandon Wise has to say

A CBS Sports editor specializing in MMA, Wise has been dissecting the sport for five years. He specializes in picking main-card fights for UFC, which has enabled him to be profitable every year. Wise went a perfect 5-0 at UFC 239 and was 4-1 at both UFC 245 and UFC 249. He also nailed Khabib Nurmagomedov’s destruction of Conor McGregor in 2018, Stipe Miocic’s upset of Daniel Cormier, Max Holloway’s downfall in 2019 and Justin Gaethje’s TKO victory over Tony Ferguson in May.

Across UFC 247, UFC 248 and UFC 249, Wise went 11-4 with his main-card picks, returning healthy profits for anyone following them. He also called Burns’ big upset last Saturday over Woodley, who was a -175 favorite. Anyone who has consistently followed Wise is way up.

Now, with UFC 250 fast approaching, Wise carefully has studied every matchup on the main card, identified the best value in the UFC odds and released his MMA picks for each fight. He’s only sharing those UFC picks here

Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer preview

Wise knows Nunes, who is also the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, will be making the first defense of her featherweight crown since making quick work of Cris Cyborg for the belt in December 2018. That victory, a 51-second knockout, made her the first woman in UFC history to win two titles and hold both simultaneously.

Nunes (19-4) is riding a 10-fight winning streak, the longest by a woman in UFC history and ninth-longest overall in the promotion, and can tie men’s welterweight champion Kamaru Usman for the eighth-longest by defeating Spencer. The 32-year-old Brazilian, who defended her bantamweight title with a unanimous decision over Germaine de Randamie in December, owns the UFC women’s records for most wins (12) and most title-fight victories (seven).

Spencer (8-1) atoned for her lone professional loss the last time she stepped into the Octagon, registering a first-round TKO victory over Zarah Fairn on Feb. 29 after losing a unanimous decision to Cyborg last July. The 29-year-old Canadian is no stranger to titles, as she defeated Pam Sorenson for the vacant Invicta Fighting Championships belt in November 2018 before signing with the UFC four months later. Top UFC 250 predictions

We’ll share one of Wise’s UFC 250 main-card picks here: He is backing Cory Sandhagen (+105) to upset Aljamain Sterling (-125) in a bantamweight bout.

Sandhagen (12-1) enters on an impressive seven-fight winning streak after posting a unanimous-decision victory over Assuncao in August. The 28-year-old, who is ranked fourth in the division, is 5-0 since joining the UFC and capable of winning in any fashion, as he has recorded four victories by knockout, three by submission and five by decision.

The 30-year-old Sterling (18-3) also has been hot, winning four consecutive fights after scoring a unanimous decision over Pedro Munhoz a year ago. The New Yorker is the second-ranked bantamweight in the UFC and a former champion of the division in both the Ring of Combat and Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
