Conor McGregor introduced his retirement from MMA for the third time in 4 years early Sunday morning.
In a publish shared on social media minutes after the conclusion of UFC 250, McGregor thanked followers for the “wonderful reminiscences. He advised ESPN’s Ariel Helwani on Sunday that MMA not excites him.
“I am a bit bored of the sport,” he advised ESPN. “I am right here watching the battle. I watched the final present—the [Tyron-Woodley-Gilbert Burns] present—I watched the present tonight. I am simply not excited in regards to the recreation, Ariel. I do not know if it is no crowd. I do not know what it’s. There’s simply no buzz for me.”
Dana White commented on McGregor’s retirement following the conclusion of UFC 250, saying, “If Conor McGregor feels he desires to retire, you recognize my emotions about retirement—it’s best to completely do it. And I really like Conor. … There is a handful of people who have made this actually enjoyable for me. And he is certainly one of them.”
McGregor first retired in March 2016, however ultimately returned later that summer season to battle Nate Diaz. He retired in April 2019 as effectively, however returned in January to defeat Donald Cerrone.
