Former Rizin bantamweight champion Manel Kape will look to immediately blast his method into title rivalry as he faces Prime 10 opposition on his octagon debut.
Kape (15-Four MMA, 0-Zero UFC) will tackle No. 9-ranked flyweight contender Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 252, which is scheduled to happen on August 15 at a venue to be confirmed.
After going 9-1 on the regional scene in Portugal, Kape constructed his title throughout a nine-fight stint with Japanese promotion Rizin FF. His tenure in Japan noticed him go 6-Three with the promotion, with all six victories coming by the use of stoppage. He arrives within the UFC’s flyweight division using a three-fight win streak, along with his most up-to-date efficiency that includes an attention-grabbing second-round knockout of Kai Asakura as he captured the Rizin FF bantamweight title.
